Everybody Duck

            The fourth pattern in the Storybook Snugglers series, Everybody Duck, includes three patterns for the price of one. The strange quilt names come from family memories involving Cheryl’s nephew, John, and grandson Taylor. Everybody Duck was the slogan emblazoned on John’s golfing duck t-shirt, and it had to go on the quilt of many ducks.

The other quilt name comes from Taylor’s first joke. When he was about two, he would place a stuffed toy duck on people’s head and shout, “Ducks on your head!” This is hilarious stuff when you’re two. Gradually he forgot to add the duck and simply shouted at everyone, “Duck’s on your head”. This caused him to double over in laughter. In honor of his humorous exploits, the second quilt in the pattern is entitled Ducks on Your Head. The bonus quilt, Dancing Duck, obviously gets its name from the fancy footwork the duck is doing.
