Two Easy Ways to Applique'

No time for needle-turn appliqué? The 6 hour workshop teaches two quick and easy ways to appliqué without the time commitment needed for more traditional methods. Techniques using fusible web appliqué with machine and machine appliqué with invisible thread are taught. Participants create two identical blocks using the different techniques, allowing them the opportunity to compare methods and results side by side. The 3 hour workshop can be customized to fit your needs. It offers instruction in one of the two appliqué methods or, if you want both techniques demonstrated, participants make only one motif using each method, rather than assembling an entire block.(3- hour or 6-hour versions)

Photo Finish

This workshop does not use photo transfer methods. Instead, it will instruct participants in the techniques of photo fabrications using fusible web and invisible thread. You will create your photograph in cloth. Participants will be amazed at their ability to duplicate favorite photographs in cloth without the use of photo transfer techniques. The 3 hour workshop demonstrates the technique and the 6 hour workshop allows participants to construct a sample project. The two day workshop allows participants to select a photograph of their own choosing and create their own photo fabrication. It is amazingly easy! (3-hour or 6-hour workshop - could be 2-day workshop)

Spiritual Expressions

This workshop provides participants the opportunity to express their faith through their art. In the three hour workshop participants construct a block with spiritual significance, using machine techniques. The 6 hour workshop allows participants to create an entire wall hanging or banner top using fusible web construction and/or machine piecing. The projects selected for this workshop can be customized for the sponsoring guild. (3-hour or 6-hour workshop)
